2018 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 11)

2018 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 11)

What an NFL season so far, you got to love the action on and off the field. The Le Veon Bell saga is finally over, and he will miss the season because of his shenanigans. Yeah i said it, and i hope it costs him big.  So lets see how the Steelers do without him now. The Giants finally win a game but they had to come from behind to do it vs 49ers. It does not mean Eli Manning is off the hook, at least for now. The Chiefs-Rams game will not be played in Mexico City, due to playing field conditions. I do not see the NFL going to Mexico City again anytime soon. So on to the picks, and its been a stellar year so far. I went 9-5 in week 10, and for the month of November I’m 18-9. In the 2018 NFL season so far, i’m 97-49-2. Another 100 win season is coming soon, so proud of it on doing it 6 seasons in a row. Now for the week 11 picks as the race for the playoffs begin here:

2018 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 7)

2018 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 7)

well here we go again, another week of great NFL action that is coming up this week. The London series got underway last week, and the Raiders are an embarrassment this season. Its so bad that there are potential trade rumors with both Derek Carr and Amari Cooper. How about for 1st round picks for both players (and in there prime i might add). Even Raiders fans setup a fire jon gruden site with a countdown on when his deal is over with the Raiders. By the way, how about a report came out earlier this week about the Raiders possibly playing somewhere else other than Oakland, if the city has its way. Speaking of teams moving there are a couple of teams that could fit that bill. The Chargers (still in Los Angeles for now) and the Seahawks could be on the move. The Seattle Seahawks just lost there owner Paul Allen to cancer, the owner of microsoft and the Portland TrailBlazers as well as the Seahawks. He was 65 when he passed away earlier this week. The Chargers on the other hand should still be in San Diego, but there owner Dean Spanos just recently passed away as well. Spanos wanted to be in Los Angeles with the Rams. Now for the weekly picks as last week a little better on the week 6 picks. I went 9-6 in week 6, but for the month of October I’m 17-13. In this 2018 season I am 56-35-2 on my weekly NFL picks. 2018 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 5)

2018 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 5)

The NFL regular season is getting off to a good start (for some teams). The play in September was unbelievable, and a few surprises like the Kansas City Chiefs (4-0). The play of QB Patrick Mahomes has been off the charts, however can he maintain his good play for the next 3 months of this season? More overtime games in the month of September was way up from a season ago. So onto October, and there is still time for teams to get back into the playoff race. Now for my weekly picks in the NFL. In week 4, i went an impressive 12-3 record. In this 2018 season, im 39-22-2 so far. I plan on being better in October. Now for the week 5 picks:

2018 Weekly NFL Picks (week 3)

2018 Weekly NFL Picks (week 3)

How about this NFL season so far, is it exciting for you yet? Well if it is not, give it time because there is plenty of football left. How about a few notes around the league. Josh Gordon has a new team: New England Patriots. I mean should we really be surprised by this? I know i am not at all shocked at this. I am just waiting for the day when his Patriots tenure is over. Jon Gruden has a lot of nerve these days. Can we go ahead and move the Raiders to Las Vegas as soon as humanly possible? I have had enough of this Raiders malarkey for 2018. The Khalil Mack trade will forever change the way the Raiders are perceived to the rest of the league, for a long time. Finally, which 0-2 team still has a shot at the playoffs? My answer is no one for now, but could that change this week. Plenty of good games to happen this week, and lets get to the picks. Wait a minute! i need to update the loyal fans and new ones as well on my picks record. in week 2 not a great week, but had a lot of bad breaks so i went 7-8-1, and for the season i’m 18-12-2. Can we please get rid of ties once and for all, nobody gives a darn anymore about ties.  Now for the week 3 picks:

Thursday Night:

Jets over Browns (don’t matter if they are the favorite, i don’t trust them)

Early Sunday:

Saints over Falcons

Broncos over Ravens

Giants over Texans

Bengals over Panthers

Titans over Jaguars

Chiefs over 49ers

Dolphins over Raiders

Vikings over Bills

Eagles over Colts

Packers over Redskins

Late Sunday:

Rams over Chargers

Bears over Cardinals

Cowboys over Seahawks

Sunday Night Game:

Patriots over Lions

Monday Night Football:

Steelers over Buccaneers

There you have it, my weekly picks are up and let me know how you feel about it.

My Conference Title Game Picks

My Conference Title Game Picks

First some notes from the National football League. The Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears have new coaches (Jack Del Rio, Todd Bowles, and John Fox). The San francisco 49ers found Jim Harbaugh’s replacement in Jim Tomsula? Who is that, i have no clue!!  They are still some teams (Denver, Atlanta, naming a few) without a coach for now. They are constant reports on certain candidates that are rumored for the following jobs. Indianapolis Colts LB Josh McNary is now on the commisioner’s list, for pending rape charges. Now for the Conference titles preview and picks:

AFC Championship Pick: Patriots over Colts

I think this could be the last opportunity for the New england Patriots to win a championship. Tom Brady is getting older, and we don’t know how many more chances he will get. The Patriots are really good, since there September swoon when they were 2-2. Its been a great year for New england. The Indianapolis Colts have won 2 playoff games in a row here. Andrew Luck has had a great postseason, but is turnover phone. I really believe his turnovers is going to cost the Colts a shot at the lombardi trophy. There running game is still not that great, but will need it at somepoint to hold off Tom Brady from getting on the field.

NFC Championship Pick: Seahawks over Packers

The Green bay packers really got lucky in beating the Dallas Cowboys. The Dez bryant catch (or non-catch pending on what ya’ll think) didn’t really show any clear-cut evidence on whether it was a catch or not. However the Cowboys had they chances and didn’t take advantage of them. The Packers have a terrific team but is no match for the Seahawks and the 12th man. Aaron Rodgers is not healthy and he knows it. The Seahawks all they have to do is gear up the running game with Marshawn Lynch. Then let russell wilson do his thing running and passing. The Seahawks are going to have to pay some big bucks to keep Wilson very soon.

There you have it my conference title picks are in, and my super bowl preview will be in less than 2 weeks. So keep it locked here, spread the word about Chris Wood Sports

My Divisional Playoff Picks

My Divisional Playoff Picks

well the playoffs have been good so far. The wild card round was very interesting but my pick of the steelers winning did not go well. Still head coaches are dominating the headlines to see who lands where like Rex Ryan and them. In the wild card round I went 3-1, so here is my divisional round picks:

Saturday:

Patriots over Ravens

Seahawks over Panthers

Sunday:

Cowboys over Packers (upset special)

Broncos over Colts

So there you have it my latest playoff picks, and I will be back with a preview of the conference titles games

My 2014 week 17 NFL picks

My 2014 week 17 NFL picks

yes it is finally here the regular season finale is this weekend. Thank goodness for that, cause i am ready for the postseason to get here. There are 2 more playoff spots that need to be clinched, first. The NFC south division winner will have an under .500 (win percentage) record between Carolina and Atlanta, and they play each other this weekend. The AFC stil needs a 2nd wild card and a winner from the AFC north division. The Steelers and teh Bengals will play each other on Sunday Night on NBC. Speaking of NBC i thought they made a bad choice on the game they were seeking, but they were kind of limited in there choosing. With many head coaches on the hot seat, i say it will be less then 6 coaches that may be out of a job come Monday. In week 16 i went 10-6 with some surprises that i did not see coming. For the season im 154-84-1 and its been a great year so far. I want to get to the 160 win total for the 4th year in a row doing these NFL picks. So here are the week 17 picks:

Early Sunday:

Ravens over Browns

Texans over Jaguars

Chargers over Chiefs

Giants over Eagles

Jets over Dolphins

Vikings over Bears

Patriots over Bills

Saints over Buccaneers

Cowboys over Redskins

Colts over Titans

Broncos over Raiders

Packers over Lions

Seahawks over Rams

Cardinals over 49ers

Sunday Night:

Steelers over Bengals

My 2014 NFL week 15 picks

My 2014 NFL week 15 picks

well the playoff race is getting interesting, before I get to my picks. I hope Cam newton will be ok, he won’t play this weekend vs. Tampa Bay with a fractured back. The NFL has a new conduct policy to take effect right away. The Johnny Manziel era begins in Cleveland. Clowney for Houston will miss the rest of the season, and possibly the start of 2015? In week 14 I was 12-4 and for the season I’m 130-76-1. Now for the week 15 picks:

2014 NFL week 12 picks

2014 NFL week 12 picks

well its been a crazy week in the nfl with the whole Adrian Peterson case. First he’s suspended (for now) for the rest of this season. Then he can’t come back til April of 2015. Also he’s appeal for to get off the commissioner’s list was denied. Now there’s a report of a hearing on December 2 for Peterson. So this story has become a circus, but we will keep u posted on this matter. Last week I went 8-6 in week 11, and for the season im 96-63-1. So I have a good shot at getting 100 wins for the 4th straight season doing picks. So here is my week 12 picks:

Chiefs over Raiders

Early Sunday:

Bills over Jets

Browns over Falcons

Buccaneers over Bears

Bengals over Texans

Colts over Jaguars

My 2014 NFL week 10 picks

My 2014 NFL week 10 picks

well another week of NFL action has come and gone. It was a great week on my picks, i went 9-4 in week 9. For the season i am now 80-52-1. The Rex Ryan watch is alive and well, and i feel bad for him. I really think his tenure with the Jets is going to be over sooner rather than later. The Ray rice appeal has gotten underway, and Adrian Peterson case has been settled but is he getting back on the field anytime soon?? Now time for my week 10 picks:
