The 10 teams to make the 2016 MLB Playoffs

well baseball season is just around the corner, and its time to just about get the predictions going for the upcoming season. So i will start a new tradition in not just baseball, but in all the 4 major pro sports (NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB). So after watching a handful of spring training games, i have seen some ups and downs. By the make of this past off season, i was surprised at the makeup of teams that cashed in on there free agents. There are some teams that did not do as much, and felt that saving money was better for them. Now i give you the 10 teams (5 in each league) that will make the playoffs:

American League:

Division winners (East, Central, and West)
NY Yankees
Kansas City
LA Angels

Wild card:
Toronto
Houston

National League:

Division Winners (east,central, and west)
Washington
Chicago Cubs
San Francisco

Wild Card:
St. Louis
Pittsburgh

There you have it, i will have the full baseball preview later this coming week, but in my baseball blog: Chris Wood Baseball (chriswoodbaseball.wordpress.com) Don’t forget my playoff previews (in NHL and NBA) will be coming soon as there regular season is wrapping up.

MLB Postseason Picks: League Championship Series

MLB Postseason Picks: League Championship Series

Well another round of the MLB playoffs has arrived. This time its the League Championship Series. It was a fantastic Division Series, all of them were great and for once no sweeps. Now time for thoughts and picks:

American League:

Toronto vs Kansas City

I do not know who to pick because both teams has been outstanding all season long. The Royals are trying to get back to the world series. I think they will have a tough challenge from the Blue Jays. There Offense has been great as they have cruised through the playoffs so far with players like Bautisa and Tulowitzky. The royals has players that went through it last season. This should be a good series. My Pick: Toronto in 7games

National League:

New York Mets vs Chicago Cubs

This is the kind of playoff series that should be one for the ages. The Chicago Cubs have made a postseason run that will be talked about for a long time. The Cubs beat the heavy favored St. Louis Cardinals in unique fashion. Now comes the New York Mets who just went through a long 5 game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Mets has passed there test, and now perhaps the best playoff series in decades? We will see and that is why they play the games. So in this one here is my pick: New York Mets in 7 games.

Sorry Cubs fans maybe next year!!!!

MLB Postseason Picks: Division Series

So the Astros and the Cubs continue there playoff parties for now. I however did not have either team advancing to the division series. This baseball season has been quite unusual, with a lot of unexpected headlines. Even Pete Rose got involved (headline wise) for the usual wrong reasons. Matt Harvey of the Mets got into hot water for showing up late to a Mandatory workout. I am ready for this Postseason to get started, once and for all. Here is my Division Series picks:

American League:

Toronto Blue Jays over Texas Rangers (in 4 games)

Kansas City Royals over Houston Astros (in 5 games)

National League:

Los Angeles Dodgers over New York Mets (in 5 games)

St. Louis Cardinals over Chicago Cubs (in 4 games)

Well it won’t be long before we are into the League Championship Series, enjoy the games.

Alex Rodriguez is back, folks!!!

Alex Rodriguez is back, folks!!!

Well i knew this was coming another bombshell from A-rod. Rodriguez went on Mike Francessa show on WFAN radio and said that he confess about using PED’s and steroids??? I am not surprise by this at all. I just knew that he had done something crazy out of this. By the way, he admitted in January of this year, why? So that he could not go to jail, even though he deserves it. I still cannot believe that the Yankees will take this guy on. I know they owe him 61 million. Just give him a check of that amount and be done with it. I can’t believe that one year suspension went by that quick. Also too he peed at his cousin’s house to keep him quiet about this admission? Its almost is like we never missed a beat. If he comes back to the Yankees i am done with them
