2017 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 12)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 12)

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you following my sports blog, greatly appreciated as always. My Week 12 picks are coming, but first plenty of notes from around the league. Josh Gordon is finally back with the Cleveland Browns after almost 3 years out of the league. Let’s see how it goes this time around for him. The Buffalo Bills are turning back to Tyrod Taylor to be the starting quarterback, after that miserable performance by Nathan Peterman (5 interceptions in one half) who was benched at halftime verses the LA Chargers. The Denver Broncos are a head skratcher when it comes to there quarterbacks. They are going to start Paxton Lynch and see if he can win some games for them. Both Trevor Simien and Brock Osweiler had they chance and it is not working out for the Broncos. The Broncos will be looking for a quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft.  Jerry Jones says he will not sue the other owners, but wants some accountability from now on. Last week in week 11, I went 8-6 with some strange endings to games. For the 2017 season I am 97-63, yes I am almost at the 100 win mark. In the month of November I’m 27-14 so far with 1 more week to go. Now for the week 12 picks:

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 11)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 11)

What an NFL season so far, it has been getting better as we hit the home stretch with 6 weeks to go. So it is time to separate the contenders from the pretenders.  Before the picks, got to get to our notes from around the league. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is at it again, this time his battle with Commissioner Roger Goodell has gone too far. It is already bad enough that you lost your Running Back Ezekiel Elliot, due to ridiculous league rules. Elliot has dropped his appeal, and will return by Christmas. Whether he did it or not is going to be debatable for a long time. I feel sorry for Dallas Cowboys fans, who have to endure this problem. I think Jerry Jones is like the Al Davis of today’s NFL owners (making unnecessary headlines for whatever reasons beyond insanity). The Buffalo Bills have made a change at quarterback going from Tyrod Taylor to Nathan Peterman. I have no clue who Peterman is, but the playoff drought for the Bills will continue (17 years and counting). The 49ers finally won, and now there is the Browns are left winless, and possibly getting the number 1 draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Now for the picks, and it was a great week, for only the 3rd time this season. I went 12-2 in week 10, and for the season i am 89-57. For the month of November im 19-8, so its off to a good start. Now for the week 11 picks:

Thursday Night

Titans over Steelers

Lions over Bears

Texans over Cardinals

Giants over Chiefs

Packers over Ravens

Rams over Vikings

Dolphins over Buccaneers

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (Week10)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (Week10)

This football season is hard to predict sometimes. My picks are coming but we got news breaking out everywhere. Earlier today the off again on again suspension for Ezekiel Elliot, is settled (for now) and will serve that 6 game suspension. This story had more legs than the whole storyline of Ross and Rachel of the TV show Friends (1994-2004). Yes I did watch the show if you are wondering. Marcellus Bennett has now signed with the New England Patriots, after being released by the Green Bay Packers over an medical issue. Teddy Bridgewater has finally returned to the Vikings after a year and a half injured. He will be the backup this weekend to Case Keenum. Sam Bradford has not been healthy for weeks, as the on going knee issues have reoccurred again. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones may sue the other NFL owners in hopes of blocking Commissioner Roger Goodell groom getting a contract extension. Finally, Ben McAdoo may not be the NY Giants coach for long. I would be shocked if the Giants bring him back for 2018. Now on my picks I went 7-6 in week 9, a lot of hit and misses in the games. This season I am 77-55, so I need to get to the 100 win mark soon as possible. Now the week 10 picks:

thursday night

Seahawks over Cardinals

Early Sunday

Vikings over Redskins

Jets over Buccaneers

Titans over Bengals

Saints over Bills

Lions over Browns

Packers over Bears

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 9)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 9)

This week has seen a lot of twists and turns, as news is breaking all over the place in the NFL. Here are a few notes before I get to my picks. The 49ers get Jimmy Grapoplo from the Patriots. But they won’t play him right away, saving him for 2018. Andrew Luck’s season in 2017 is over before it ever began. His throwing shoulder did not recover to his liking, and we will have to wait til 2018 before he steps on the field. DeShaun Watson gets hurt in practice recently, and is out for the rest of the season. The Texans super bowl chances went up in smokes, at least for now. Ezekiel Elliot’s suspension is back on, and is out til December (at least around there). However this chapter may not be closed, do not be surprised if there is another twist. At least this point, I would make it like a soap opera. Now for an update on my picks as a winning week finally happens. In week 8 I went 12-1, and for the 2017 season I am 70-49. So it’s time for a winning November, plenty of good games left to go here. Now here is my week 9 picks:

thursday night

Jets over Bills

Early Sunday

Texans over Colts

Giants over Rams

Titans over Ravens

Jaguars over Bengals

Falcons over Panthers

Saints over Buccaneers

Eagles over Broncos

Late Sunday

Cardinals over 49ers

Seahawks over Redskins

Chiefs over Cowboys

Sunday Night

Raiders over Dolphins

Monday Night

Packers over Lions

There you have it, my week 9 picks are up. There will be more football action soon. Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour except for Indiana and Arizona.

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 8)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 8)

Well another week of NFL action is on the way, and my picks (what a year so far) don’t even get me started on it. It has been an unpredictable season so far, and may be in past years it was not like this. A few notes from the league, and there were plenty of them. Both the 49ers and Browns are still winless, no surprise there. The Arizona Cardinals lost there QB Carson Palmer for the rest of the season (maybe?). The Los Angeles Rams are for real, and they are contending for the NFC west division. Carson Wentz is for real, and the Eagles are contenders in the NFC East. The on going saga of the Ezekiel Elliot vs the NFL has no conclusion at this time. Cowboys fans remember Todd Brady tried to fight the NFL and he served his suspension, eventually. The Eli Manning to Jacksonville Jaguars rumors are starting to gain some legs. OK Jaguars fans, just because ya’ll are having a good season does not mean you will be in the playoff tournament in the end. Now for my NFL picks, and so far i have no clue on how these teams conduct themselves. In week 7 i went 8-7, and for the season i’m 58-48. Well I have had 1 great week and a bunch of strange weeks of picks. Now for the week 8 picks:

Thursday Night:

Ravens over Dolphins

Early Sunday:

Vikings over Browns (game in London, England and on NFL Network)

Falcons over Jets

Panthers over Buccaneers

Eagles over 49ers

Saints over Bears

Patriots over Chargers

Raiders over Bills

Bengals over Colts

Late Sunday:

Seahawks over Texans

Cowboys over Redskins

Sunday Night:

Steelers over Lions

Monday Night:

Chiefs over Broncos

There is your week 8 NFL picks up and running. I might come up with a few ideas for this blog.

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 6)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (week 6)

What a week for the National Football League, as stories are happening everywhere. Before I get to my picks, there are a few notes from the league that are worth discussing. The NFL has won its case (on appeal) against Ezekiel Elliot and its 6-game suspension. Ben Rothlisberger and his on going frustrations with the Steelers. Dominique Rogers-Carmatie getting suspended by the New York Giants, after an argument with Head Coach Ben McAdoo (by the way is on the hot seat now). Now Sean Combs wants to buy the NFL, and I don’t see it happening anytime soon. There are other headlines going on, but cannot get to them all. Now for the picks, as I took it on the chin again. In week 5, I was 7-7 and for the season I’m 43-34. So here comes my week 6 picks:

Thursday Night:

Eagles over Panthers

Early Sunday:

Falcons over Dolphins

Packers over Vikings

Ravens over Bears

Redskins over 49ers

Lions over Saints

Patriots over Jets

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 5)

2017 Weekly NFL Picks (Week 5)

How about this NFL season so far, are you hooked yet? I know I have after several weeks, due to a lot of intrigued storylines. The Titans may have to go without Marcus Mariotta (hamstring), but they signed Brandon Weeden instead of Colin Kaepernick. Really Tennessee Titans who is making the decisions there. Then there is the donut bowl (0 wins on the season) Chargers vs Giants. Now there is a matchup that i am looking forward to, nah not really. Its such a tragedy that we have 3 teams that have not won a game yet, yes Cleveland Browns i am talking about you too. As for my picks, took another one on the chin with my picks, even though i did a little better. In week 4 i was 9-7, and for the season i am now 36-27. So now time for the week 5 picks.

Lions over Panthers

2017 NFL Weekly Picks (Week 4)

2017 NFL Weekly Picks (Week 4)

What a week for the NFL, being in the news for the all the wrong reasons. Enough talk about are they, or wont they kneel or stay out for the national anthem. See this was the result of the saga Colin Kaepernick has caused. Can we get on with more football, please!! I feel bad for the Detroit Lions, they had victory until a reversal destroy there hopes. Sorry Lions fans but i have to say this, i am glad that i am not a fan of your team. By the way, the Cincinnati Bengals should go 0-16 for the way there season is going. I am too embarrassed for them, how do you allowed the Packers to comeback and win. Now for my picks, it was so bad that i went under .500 (winning percentage). In week 3 i was 7-9, and for the season im 27-20. Now time for the week 4 picks and a bounce back week.

2017 Week 2 NFL Picks

2017 Week 2 NFL Picks

What a great start to this NFL season, let’s start with a few notes from around the league. The homecoming for Adrian Peterson did not go so well, as he was limited to less than 20 yards. Saints go on to lose to the Vikings, in Minneapolis. Could the Colts be in a lot of trouble? No Andrew Luck for a while, and the Colts look terrible. Now there is a possibility of the Colts moving on from Luck? There could go after Alex Smith who could be on his way out in Kansas City. The second week of the regular season is upon us, and now some teams are in must win mode already. Last week I went 8-7 but it’s the opening week. Now for the Week 2 picks:

How about this, another football season has arrived. So it’s time for another season of my weekly NFL picks. I did not do a preview this year, too many predictions and scenarios to factor in.
